South Texas Wedding Venue | The Steel Belle

Welcome to our series on South Texas wedding venues we love working at! This post is all about this brand new venue out in Skidmore, Texas. From our home base of Corpus Christi, Texas, The Steel Belle is just a little under an hour away.

THE SPECS:

The Steel Belle venue rental features a charming front porch, a welcoming Grand Foyer, a spacious indoor Great Room with a built-in bar and stage, and a captivating courtyard adorned with elegant string lights. To ensure seamless execution of your event, additional amenities such as a catering and staging kitchen, green room, lounge, and bridal suite with a full bath and glam bar are also available.

The Great Room (indoor space) is 4,500 square feet with capacity for 250 guests

seated with a dance floor, a built in bar, and stage. The Courtyard (outdoor space) is 2,000 square feet and includes a shipping container bar that can be used to serve cocktails, appetizers, desserts – you name it! The Courtyard is a great option for Cocktail Hour or even lounge furniture and fire pits to enjoy towards the later part of the night! Additionally, the Courtyard and other outdoor areas can be used to accommodate additional guests for dinner seating.

The Front Porch is the current option for an outdoor ceremony space (stay tuned

as they will have additional ceremony space options in the near future). Chairs can

be set facing out towards the beautiful oak trees or facing in towards the front

porch. Either make a beautiful backdrop for a timeless and beautiful wedding

ceremony! This outdoor space can accommodate up to 300 chairs theater style.

What makes this venue unique:

The Steel Belle is a family owned and operated venue! "It all began with a flurry of our own family weddings (three in ten months to be exact) back in 2014. It was during this whirlwind of joy, laughter, and celebration, that we discovered a collective love for the art of event planning." They cultivated a vision for The Steel Belle, and shortly after acquired some land out in Bee County for the dream to take root.

The most unique feature The Steel Belle has to offer is they were built for live music! Designed with acoustics in mind, the venue boasts a touring-grade sound system, a

generous 23’ x 18’ stage complete with a curtain, and professional lighting to enhance

every performance. With a green room featuring a private entrance and acoustic

treatments ensuring pristine sound quality, The Steel Belle is more than equipped to

elevate your event with live music.

Advice from the owners:

Secure the venue that feels right in regard to both design and quality of service; your venue should be the perfect backdrop for the day you have been dreaming of and planning for! Incorporate details that truly reflect who you are as a couple, as well as individuals. Last, but not least – take time to pause and enjoy every moment of the planning process and most importantly, the Big Day. These are milestone moments you won’t get back – and they tend to go by all too quickly!  - The Shirley Family
